Poo Poo Point Star Party October 6

The October Poo Poo Point Star Party will be held October 6, weather permitting. We will leave for the summit at 6 p.m., so make sure you are at the gate by then. Steve Van Rompaey, the keeper of the key, will post updates to the Webfoot Web e-mail list. He can also be reached at (425) 564-8619.

Imaging the Sky Conference November 2-3

The 7th Annual Imaging the Sky Conference, which features seminars on technology and techniques for astronomical digital imaging, will be held November 2-3 at the Tokyo International University of America, Salem, Oregon.

Registration before October 31 is $64, and includes Saturday lunch and ITS 2001 CD-ROM. After October 31, registration at the door is $74. To register: mail check, made out to ITS 2001, to Jim Girard, ITS 2001 Registrar, P.O. Box 254, Beaverton, OR 97075.

2002 SAS Annual Banquet January 26

The annual SAS Banquet will be held on January 26, 2002, at 6 p.m. at the Yankee Grill and Roaster, 5300 24th Avenue NW Ballard. The menu and cost will be the same as last year, $28 per person for prime rib, salmon, or a vegetarian dish. There will again be a world-class speaker to continue the excellent series of speakers that we have had in the past.
