The Webfooted Astronomer - January 2002

For Sale

Four-inch f/15 Achromatic Refractor with Premium Vixen optics. I have owned this scope for about 4 years. Purchased from a Canadian Amateur who put the scope together. Includes and 8x50 finder. Asking $500.

8-inch Intes Micro Mak-Newtonian with fan, tube rings, dovetail assembly, 1/8 wave front optical system certification. Star tests suggest the system is better than 1/8 wave. Selling because I now have a 7-inch AP whose performance is somewhat better. Price $3500. I will throw in the quickie Dob mount I built so that I could do side by side comparisons of my AP with the MN.

Heavy duty Cave Astrola Mount with pier on wheels, 1.5-inch axles, dual axle drives, circa 1967. Used originally for a 12.5 in F6 Newtonian. The mounting rings for the 12.5-inch are still on the mounting. I still use this mounting but now for my refractor. Itís in pretty good shape considering constant use for over 15 years here in Puyallup. I have one of the original setting circles. Price $550
