The Webfooted Astronomer - December 2000
No Recount Necessary—SAS Elects 2001 Board of Directors
AT the November SAS meeting, a new slate of officers was elected to the board of directors. Thanks to some serious arm twisting and her inability to say "no," Mary Ingersoll was elected President.
George Best resumes his role as VP Programming, which he last held in 1999. After a year off the board, Karl and Judy Schroeder have been elected VP Education and Treasurer, respectively. Ron Leamon moved from his role as VP Publicity to VP Membership. New to the board, Greg Donohue was elected Secretary and Brian Allen was named VP Publicity.
The new officers will be installed at the December meeting and can serve up to two one-year terms.
Many thanks to the outgoing board, the new board, and others who volunteer their time to the club. Without their commitment, energy, and enthusiasm, the Seattle Astronomical Society couldn't function.
